Samsung has listed One UI 9 with Android 17 for the Galaxy M47 5G in India, Galaxy A26 5G in Malaysia, and Galaxy A17 4G in South Korea. Its regional release histories date the M47 and A26 builds October 22, 2026, and the A17 build October 21.

I checked Samsung’s own records for the Galaxy M47, Galaxy A26, and Galaxy A17 4G. The firmware versions are below, along with a detail you might otherwise miss: the M47 still has the September security patch.

Which One UI 9 builds are available?

The Galaxy M47 5G gets M476BXXU3BZJ1, the Galaxy A26 5G gets A266BXXUCDZJ6, and the Korean Galaxy A17 4G gets A175NKSU7DZJ3. All three release histories identify Android 17 and One UI 9. Match the model number and regional record before comparing your phone with a build in this table.

Device and model Regional record checked Firmware Release date Security patch
Galaxy M47 5G (SM-M476B) India, INS M476BXXU3BZJ1 October 22, 2026 September 5, 2026
Galaxy A26 5G (SM-A266B) Malaysia, XME A266BXXUCDZJ6 October 22, 2026 October 5, 2026
Galaxy A17 4G (SM-A175N) South Korea, KOO A175NKSU7DZJ3 October 21, 2026 October 5, 2026

These are the dates in Samsung’s records, rather than the day a news report appeared or the day you first saw the download. A release-note entry also doesn’t tell us that every eligible handset has already received the notification.

If you’re unsure which region applies to your Galaxy, my Samsung CSC code guide shows you where to check.

What’s new in these One UI 9 updates?

The device changelogs list more Quick panel customization, a new Warranty and care menu, a location-access indicator, Samsung Health changes, and accessibility additions. This is a major Android upgrade, rather than a security-only download. I would use the changelog for your exact model when checking which features to expect.

Samsung’s M47 notes describe resizing the brightness and volume sliders and media player, plus separating the sound-mode control from the volume slider. The A26 notes also describe a blue indicator when an app accesses your location, with the app identified through the Quick panel.

The Korean A17 changelog lists the same types of changes. That record is for SM-A175N, the 4G model. Our earlier A17 5G rollout coverage concerns a separate device and firmware.

Why does the Galaxy M47 show a September patch?

Samsung’s M47 record lists September 5, 2026 as the security patch level, while its A26 and A17 records list October 5. The M47 update’s October release date doesn’t make it an October security patch. Check the patch field separately from the One UI version and the date you installed the download.

My Galaxy security patch guide shows where that date appears on your phone.

How do you check for the One UI 9 update?

Open Settings > Software update > Download and install on your Galaxy. Samsung’s software update guide explains the process and notes that carrier labels can vary. Read the update screen for your own device before starting, and follow the installation prompts if the download is offered.

  1. Back up important files. I’ve covered the options in my Galaxy backup guide.
  2. Connect to Wi-Fi and make sure the phone is charged.
  3. Open Settings > Software update > Download and install.
  4. Review the firmware details, then follow the download and installation prompts.
  5. After restarting, check Settings > About phone > Software information for the installed software.

If the download isn’t offered, compare your model and CSC with the records above. I wouldn’t use one regional record to promise an arrival date for another. You can follow other releases in our One UI 9 update tracker.
