Status as of October 5, 2026: No Galaxy Tab S11, Tab S10 or Tab S9 model has received stable One UI 9 yet. The newest tablet builds in our tracker are still on Android 16 with the September 2026 security patch. Samsung’s own One UI 9 announcement does list these tablets, so the update is coming. There’s just no date yet.
Galaxy phone owners have been getting One UI 9 for almost three weeks now. If you own a Galaxy tablet, though, you’re probably still checking Settings > Software update and seeing the same Android 16 build.
I’ve gone through our firmware feed and Samsung’s latest announcements to see where things stand for Galaxy tablets. Here’s what I found.
One UI 9 is out on phones, tablets are next
Samsung started the official One UI 9 rollout on September 16, beginning with the Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra, as stated in the Samsung Newsroom announcement. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8 already shipped with it.
Since then, the update has spread to more phones. The Galaxy S25 series and the Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 are getting it on some carriers and in some countries. You can follow that progress on our One UI 9 update tracker.
Tablets haven’t joined the party yet. But there’s a good sign in Samsung’s own press release.
Samsung already lists the Tab S11, S10 and S9 for One UI 9 features
In the footnotes of that September 16 announcement, Samsung says the new Privacy Alerts feature is supported on the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, Tab S11, Tab S10 Ultra, Tab S10+, Tab S9 Ultra, Tab S9+ and Tab S9.
Privacy Alerts is a One UI 9 feature. So Samsung is basically confirming that these tablets are in line for the update. It just hasn’t said when.
Where Galaxy tablets stand right now
Here are the latest tablet builds our tracker picked up in the past week. All of them are on Android 16 with the September 2026 patch.
- Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra (SM-X920): X920XXSBDZI2, picked up September 29.
- Galaxy Tab S10+ (SM-X820): X820XXSBDZI2, picked up September 30.
- Galaxy Tab S9, S9+ and S9 Ultra (SM-X710, SM-X810, SM-X910): X710XXS6EZI2, X810XXS6EZI2 and X910XXS6EZI2, picked up October 1.
- Galaxy Tab S9 FE (SM-X510): X510XXSGEZI3, picked up September 28.
Notice the “S” right after “XX” in each build? That usually marks a security-only update, not a major OS upgrade. If you want to read these build numbers yourself, check out my guide on Samsung firmware version numbers.
We haven’t logged any new Galaxy Tab S11 firmware in the past week.
The table below updates on its own. The moment One UI 9 shows up for any of these tablets in our feed, it will appear here.

The Galaxy Tab S12 already runs One UI 9
Here’s the interesting part. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+ on September 30, and both run Android 17 with One UI 9 out of the box. You can see that in the spec sheet of the official Tab S12 announcement.

According to Sammy Fans, the Tab S12 series goes on sale on October 7.
Why does this matter for older tablets? Because it means Samsung already has a finished tablet version of One UI 9. The large-screen layouts, multitasking changes and S Pen features are done. That should make the jump to the Tab S11 and Tab S10 easier, though Samsung hasn’t confirmed any timeline.
When will my Galaxy tablet get One UI 9?
Samsung hasn’t announced a date for any tablet. So I’ll be honest with you: anyone giving you an exact date right now is guessing.
What I can tell you is how this usually goes. Samsung tends to update its flagship phones first and bring the same version to its flagship tablets afterward, usually starting with the newest Tab S models. Based on that, the Tab S11 series is the most likely first in line, followed by the Tab S10 and Tab S9.
FE, Lite and Tab A models typically come later. SamMobile’s unofficial eligibility list also includes the Tab S10 FE, Tab S10 FE+, Tab S10 Lite, Tab S9 FE, Tab S9 FE+, Tab S6 Lite (2024), Tab Active5, Tab Active5 Pro, Tab A11 and Tab A11+. Keep in mind that list isn’t from Samsung.

Frequently Asked Questions
Has any Galaxy tablet received One UI 9 yet?
Only the new Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+, which ship with it. No existing tablet had stable One UI 9 in our tracker as of October 5, 2026.
Will the Galaxy Tab S9 get One UI 9?
Yes, it looks like it. Samsung lists the Tab S9, S9+ and S9 Ultra as supported devices for One UI 9’s Privacy Alerts feature.
Can I flash One UI 9 on my tablet manually?
Not yet. There’s no official One UI 9 firmware for existing tablets to flash. Once it’s out, you’ll be able to download it with Frija and install it with Odin like any other firmware.
The update rolled out but I don’t see it. Why?
Samsung releases updates in waves by country and carrier. If others already have it and you don’t, try the steps in our One UI 9 update not showing guide.
Final Words
Galaxy tablets are still on Android 16 for now, but Samsung has already named the Tab S11, Tab S10 and Tab S9 in its One UI 9 material, and the Tab S12 shows the software is ready for big screens. I’ll update this post as soon as the first tablet build lands.
